Elephant Background
For this project, I had already painted two elephants with touching noses. So for my project, I decided to finish it and paint the background! I did the background in multiple shades of teal and blue, with small hints of gold throughout. This was a pretty easy project for me because it was just the background but I really did like getting to blend the colors with the oil paints that I used. I thought that was really cool and I would love to do another project with oil paints!
Black and White Camera
I did this project because it was more of a still life project and I haven't really painted anything like that before. For the background I did the edges like an old film reel so that the camera looked like it was on a undeveloped piece of film. I was originally going to do all the colors inverted so that it totally would have the appearance of being on a undeveloped piece of film, however I didn't think I would have time to finish the project if I were to figure all that out. I wish I had though because that was my original idea and I really liked the thought of how that look in the end and I regret not doing that. that highlighting of the white light on the camera was difficult for me to paint to capture what it really looked liked and that was definitely the hardest part for me but I really did like the project!
Purple Fish
I really like painting animals so I thought this would be a good project for me. My favorite color is also purple so that's why I decided to do purple for the color of the fish. I thought black would be a good background color because it really made the fish stand out and it almost seemed to glow. I loved painting the fish's tail because it was so flowy and large. I think I have found that my favorite thing to paint is definitely animals!

Clay Projects
This was one of my favorite things to do because I got a chance to use the clay wheel. I had never done this before and it was totally new. I enjoyed learning how to do it and it was a lot of fun. Although not all of my clay projects turned out, as many of them collasped or broke while on the wheel, I still ended up with two pot/vases that could be fired. I am excited to finish glazing them and see what they are like when they are completley done! I hope in the future I get more chances to work on a clay wheel again. It was somehing that I would enjoy doing again!
Magazine Cut Out
I wanted to do this project because I thought that it would look really cool at the end. It ended up taking a lot longer than I anticipated. This was partially because I chose to do a background of magazine cut outs as well as the projector. I decided to do the projector because I thought it would be challenging to make the circular reels that were on top of the projector. It wasn't as hard as I thought but it was still difficult to make sure it all lined up in a circle.

Dot Zebra
My last project was a zebra an I really liked doing it. So when I couldn't think of another project to do, I thought it would be cool to do another one but slightly different . So this is what I ended up with. I used black and white paint for the zebra and I gave it a turquoise background because I thought that color would go well with the black and white of the zebra.

Geogebra Art #2
Using the program Geogebra, I have created a graph usign the equations Sequence[k/tanx^4,k,-5,5,0.5], Sequence[k/cosx^4,k,-5,5,0.5], and Sequence[k/sinx^4,k,-5,5,0.5]. The purple line is sin, passinng through zero, the blue is cos, passsing through one, and the green is tan, curving up from 1 to 2. Putting all three of these equations together gave me this graph that looks the way that it does.

Zebra Painting
This prject was just a Zebra. I hadn't done anything that was very realistic looking so I thought it would be cool to do a real animal. For the background I scewed up a couple times so i wasn't too happy with how it ended up. But i really like the actual zebra part. I tried some new things that i never had, like blending the black and white paint together on the nose and making grays to add in the eyes. I was happy with how it turned out if only the background could have a little less messy and nicer.
Tree
I did this project beacuse I had a background and I wasn't sure what to do with it so I Decided a tree woud look cool. I added the white swirls behind it because it looked a little empty and i wasn't sure what else to add. So overall, this entire project i just sort of did as i went along, but i do like how it turned out. (I'm not sure how to flip it back over so sorry it's upside down)

Melted Crayon - Flower
I really liked doing this. It was somthing I never tried before and thought it was cool learning how todo something new! I thought the project went pretty well, except I didn't get the flowers as melted as I had wanted to. Nothing really went wrong with this project, the melting was pretty easy. If i did the project over again, then I would have melted the flowers right on the board rather than metling them and then trying to move them. The hardest part about this project was getting the crayons to melt where I wanted them to. I had to tilt the board a lot and it was hard to get one area to melt at a time so it wouldn't ruin another area. By the end, I learned that this is a fun project to do and that you could do so many different things with it!
Butterfly
At first this project was fun, however towards the end i was running out of colors so it got kind of hard to mix and use colors that i had not used. Altough i had problems with this, I really liked the way it turned out and think i did a pretty good job! Besides the colors everything went pretty much as planed. I probably wouldn't ever do this again because there were so many colors or else if I did do it again, I would make the areas where one color would go bigger, so not as many colors would be needed. Overall, i learned that if you really try there are a lot of different colors that can be made!

Stop-Motion Animation!
I was really excited for this project at first, but as it went on it just got very frusterating because it took a very long time and we kept running into problems! We had to upload our pictures over 3 times and it still barley worked! Although, we had so many issues, it would have been a really cool project if we hadn't and i think i would have really enjoyed working on and completing a project like this! (NO VIDEO)
Prints
This project was fun! I liked that we got to carve out the linolium tiles. I have never done that before and probably won't ever again, So that was really cool! I also think it's cool that even though our school budget is low, we still get a taste of what real printing is like!

Ceiling Tile
For our ceiling tile jessica and I decided to do it in the style of Wassily Kandinsky. Kandinsky uses lots of shapes and colors that all blend together to create something that is abtract. This is something that we were both interested in becasue his paintings are all very interesting to look at. We both like that you have to look at the painting for a minute to relize what it really is. This is why we chose to do Wassily Kandinsky. (NO PICTURE)

Candy Project
This project was alright, but it just wasn't very exciting. There was nothing that i really didn't like, it just wasn't anything cool that i would like to show everyone or that i would like to do again. But i thought it was a good small way to practice shadding. (NO PICTURE)
Water Color Painting
This wasn't one of my favorite projects, but that was just becasue I don't really like water colors. I think they are difficult to make the right color without gettting the paper too watery or without mixing the colors together. However I think I am getting better with using water colors, which is a good thing. I did the flamingos becasue they are a bright color and i thought they would look good in water colors.

Sketchbook
This project was kind of hard because we had to completely make the book. we had to bind it and glue it and do everything ourselves! I do like the book now that it's done because it's cool that we can put all our drawings in one place. And so even though it was hard at the beggining the outcome was cool!

Line Drawing
This was fun because we got to express how we were with drawing. This is something that I have never done before. I liked how my final project turned out and I learned how to express my feeling through my drawings.
Value Sqaures
I liked this project because we got to find somthing that we like in a magazine and then draw it, but add value and choose different persectives. We were suppose to choose things that all went together, so I choose to do flowers because I like them and I thought that they would look nice all together as a finnished project. Overall, I liked how this project turned out and am happy with my end result!
